The Role:

Double Line currently focuses largely on education technology custom development and consulting projects, and we have recently entered the education technology product market. We are hiring a product manager to drive innovation and excellence for our current small product suite. This person will work directly with senior engineering resources to deliver customer wins and business value through our core technology.

You will:

  • Act as product owner and leader to deliver improvements to the product and infrastructure in an lean product development environment
  • Interact with users and partners to understand their needs, and help represent their mindset and desire internally
  • Work closely with our engineering team and leadership
  • Craft specifications for product changes, including defining success criteria and business value
  • Help engineers understand requirements, support them through execution, and make sure that success criteria are measured and the value is delivered.
  • Define appropriate documentation levels and supportability needs, and ensure all new features meet these standards.
  • Support the marketing and sales team on product launches
  • On an interim basis, oversee a small support team

  • Comfortable talking to customers and senior stakeholders, synthesizing feedback, and participating in prioritization efforts

Bonus points for:

  • Past experience as a project manager (in addition to experience as a product manager)
  • Experience working at a school district, in a classroom, in a state education agency, or related educational entity
  • Previous success working with a remote team
  • Working knowledge of most or all of the full web stack
  • Experience with cloud-hosted solutions and/or Docker containers
